I Met Jason Croot 3 Years ago whilst working as a D.OP on a short film,
I found his concentration levels facinating, he would spend hours pondering his next scene.
After we finished shooting the film I wanted to know more about this Actor, we went for coffee and after speaking to him I was interested why he did'n t use his good looks to go for more softer more marketable roles, he replied that he wanted to land roles for his ability not his looks.
We met up a couple of months later, I had chance to watch his Show Reel and felt he really had something, he was very raw but certainly had ability.
I have worked on big productions and observed many actors, I am now starting to write about the more interesting 'Anti Hero's',
Jason Croot certainly fits into this category.
I met Jason recently after nearly 2 years, he has continued his career in Films and is now sitting on over 30 short films and 4 features, I was very curious why he had appeared in so many shorts I even joked about a guiness book of records award, Jason felt alot of people frowned upon shorts and did'nt give them the credit they deserved he added in an industry driven by the dollar his focus was more about the craft than the cash, short films with strong storylines different characters time restraints excited him and helped him learn more about his passion.
Jason is about to launch a new show reel with a long list of characters in productions that he felt have helped him become a greater actor under his own admission he is'nt there yet but believes after having a screen test for Barry Levinson this year he is heading in the right direction.

My aim is to write more to highlight undergroung actors, musicians and artists,
